The Belensky Suite - White Diamond Earrings & Matching Ring Together with a White Diamond Watch Bracelet

The suite is known as the Belensky after the jeweller who originally designed and created the watch, which Lady Colin Campbell inherited along with many other items from her mother.

The earrings each consist of a central marquise-cut stone surrounded by twelve smaller brilliant cut stones, eight round and four marquise-shaped.  The ring is of the same design but the central  marquise-cut stone is appreciably larger and it is surrounded by 14 smaller brilliant cut stones, eight round and six marquise-shaped.  All are set in white 18 carat gold.

The watch bracelet is also set in 18 carat white gold and contains a multiplicity of brilliant white diamonds.  The watch is concealed beneath a diamond-encrusted face which flicks open when the locking mechanism is activated.  The watch bracelet hugs the wrist snugly.

"These earrings and matching ring," Lady Colin Campbell says, "are both flamboyant and tasteful, which is usually an oxymoron but in this instance isn't. They are ideal to wear to formal day events like weddings, Royal Ascot, the Arc de Triomphe, and any of the Triple Crown race meetings in America.  They are also perfect to wear out to a cocktail party with a chic and simple dress, preferably black or brown, though I have also worn them with red and bright blue to good effect.   I have  worn them out to  black-tie events, such as a concert at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, or to a gala dinner at Claridge's in London and the St Regis Hotel in New York, confident in the knowledge that anyone looking at me will soon register how stunning but tasteful they are.  If I am wearing them with formal day wear such as one wears to smart race meetings, or to a black-tie event with a long evening-dress in a lightweight wool or a heavy silk,  I always wear a diamond brooch as well as the watch bracelet.  If the neckline of the dress calls for it, I will finish off the look with a nice South Sea Pearl necklace, but I never wear a bracelet, as that would be overkill.

"The diamond watch bracelet has become something of a staple of mine.  I frequently separate it from the earrings and ring and wear it with ballgowns,  long-dresses or cocktail attire.  Despite being so sumptuous, it has a discretion that is truly elegant"
